Our
systems are based on a 4U rack mounted case that offers a reasonably
compact server but with plenty of space for components so enabling good
system cooling as well as facilitating ease of maintenance. Two
variations are offered these being either a single Intel processor
based
server or a single or dual AMD Opteron based server. The choice
is yours, we tend to favour the Opteron based systems as they provide
excellent performance especially running Linux which has been compiled
to support the 64 bit Opteron. The systems can support RAID disks using either software or
hardware depending on the performance required.
The photographs below show the rack mounted system mounted in a small rack and floor mounted. The rack
can be supplied with sliding rail kits or feet for floor mounting.
